Order special waste-fighting dishes at Equinox during Food Waste Prevention Week!
Food Waste Prevention Week is on! To celebrate, Equinox, in downtown Washington, D.C., will be featuring some special low-waste dishes. Order them while they last! Here are the restaurant’s descriptions of their superhero menu items. Yum!

🥂The Limoncello D'Alfredo
All of the citrus skins from our first juiced limes will be incorporated into the limoncello. It is mixed with citrus juice, boiled milk, and the peels that are fermented for 14 days, and then strained - yum!
🥟 Silverio's Empanadas
We will be using the beef short rib and hanger steak trim and making our delicious empanadas that have become a happy hour favorite. The meat trim is roasted and hand-chopped with caramelized onions and fresh herbs
🍲 Creamy Sunchoke Soup (PB)
To add a crispy accent to our creamy soup and other dishes, we will be crisping up the peels from the sunchokes.
